Overall the house was beautiful! The front door was so hard to open from the outside - so hard that we opted to just go through the side entrance. The hot water was nonexistent in the showers. Although we followed the directions to heat the water before, if it warmed at all, it was for less than 5 minutes. However, the water from the sinks upstairs got extremely hot. The beds were extremely comfortable and everything was super clean. The house was in an ideal location and we walked basically everywhere, which we loved. Overall would stay again!

Hi Jasmine Thank you for your revew. We have put a new lock and handle in the door and it gets loose everyday with use..so it is just a bit hard because it is new. We will readjust the hot water timer as per your suggestion. We have sent in the electrician to check the problem today and apply it differently, so sorry we were not informed earlier to do instantly. Looking forward to welcoming you again soon, you were such a great guest!!!

Todo los años hacemos un viaje con el equipo de nuestra oficina que somos 9 personas. La casa de Jj era preciosa, muy bonito decorado y espacioso. Nos hemos sentido como en casa. Las dormitorios eran grandes y espaciosos con armarios para guardar la ropa. Toallas suaves y de muy buena calidad. Camas muy comfortables, hemos dormido muy bien. Muchos baños y aseos, para gupos grandes genial! Hemos podido hacer reuniones en el salon, que era grande y precioso. El barrio con muchos sitios para desayunar y comer o cenar. Se puede andar desde la casa a mucho sitios, la ubicación estaba perfecta. Jj estaba siempre pendiente de nosotros. Volveremos seguramente!

we were a group of 6 entrepreneurs on a weekend trip. we were out most of the days but also spend a day in the house for some workshops. + location is great + ground/1st floor is nice + staff is an agency doing a good job + free during stay cleaning - amenities like kitchen in the ground floor and bathrooms outdated or not well maintained - humid and cold in basement area + mold - 3 rooms in the basement and an extra separate little apartment did not keep up with the standard of the rest of the house. this resulted in an uneven experience in which 3 enjoyed the villa as on the photos and 3 had a rather basic experience - no real covers but thin blankets - choice would be great thats the feedback to consider

Dear Alexandros, thanks for the feedback. We need to clarify that 2 bedrooms are in the lower ground - not 3. Basement was cold because the airconditioning had been set to chill. For any issues relating to cleanliness or facilities we are always on hand to address them on the spot - but unfortunately your comments came after you departed.

If you want to be right in the center of everything and a stones throw from the acropolis, this is your spot. Fantastic house, super location and great host. Beds were comfortable. House has a great vibe and again, you can’t beat this location. Everything you want or need is right here. Can’t say enough how great this place was.

It was so close to so many wonderful shops and restaurants. Very quiet despite being so close to everything. The views of the acropolis are amazing. Our family of 10 had a wonderful time at The White House. The property met or exceeded all our expectations. We were met at the home by the host who gave us a tour of the property and was extremely helpful. It is located just a short walk away from the Acropolis, and you get a great view of that landmark from the rooftop deck. It is very pretty when lit up in the evening. The home is one of the few homes we found that could comfortably accommodate 10 guests. The rooms were large, and the furniture was very comfortable. The modern artwork throughout the home was very nice. It was so convenient being able to walk to all the restaurants and shops around the home – especially the multiple gelato options! We had a great time and would not hesitate to recommend this home to others.

We (two families comprising of four adults and five teenagers) had a wonderful stay at the White House in Athens. The house is in a brilliant location - moments from the acropolis, restaurants and shops. It is spacious, opulent with high ceilings, extremely clean and has great outdoor areas. We loved staying in such a beautiful house and highly recommend it.

The White House is truly a beautiful, historic home with modern furnishings and decor. The place was even more stunning than the photos. The location is within walking distance of many of the historical sights. We loved being able to walk everywhere to sightsee, eat and shop. Our host was very patient and helpful with our many questions. This was the perfect place for our family pre cruise stay. Although it has multiple and winding staircases, we were able to manage fine even though our group was all senior adults ages 63-70.

The location of this property is unmatched with easy access to all the sites of Athens. The main part of the house is furnished/decorated nicely and the view of the acropolis from the roof is stunning. The house is large with plenty of room to spread out if you’re traveling with a large group. That being said - there is a big difference in quality between the three upstairs bedrooms (very nice) and the two in the basement/one in annex (fine) so heads up if you are expecting them to all be the same quality. Also the description and the sign in the house mentions a daily tidying of the house which didn’t happen during our three night stay there so not sure if that actually ever occurs.

Οι καναπέδες ήταν βρώμικοι και τα έπιπλα παλιά. Το σπίτι χρειάζεται ανακαίνιση και συντήρηση. Η τοποθεσία είναι αρκετά καλή αλλά δεν αξίζει τα χρήματα το σπίτι. Επίσης ο ιδιωκτήτης μας χρέωσε 25 ευρώ για το βρεφικό κρεβάτι παρόλο που στη κράτηση υπήρχε και ένα βρέφος. Επίσης μας χρέωσε για late check out γιατί υπήρχε καθύστερηση στην πτήση και γνώριζε οτι δεν μπορούσαμε να μείνουμε στο δρόμο με τα παιδιά και τις αποσκευές. Απαράδεκτος, σίγουρα δεν θα ξανακάνω κράτηση από το συγκεκριμένο ιδιωκτήτη.

Jj’s house is beautiful. We had plenty of space for our family of 6. Make sure you bring plug converters if you are traveling from the U.S. The hot water heater took some getting used to. We had to switch them on an hour before we wanted to take showers. The location is perfect. There was plenty to do in the neighborhood around the house. If you want to venture out to Monastiraki square or Cyntagma square they are only 5-10 minute walks. The Acropolis is very close (3-5 minute walks). Be sure to check out the view from the top balcony. We enjoyed our stay very much.

Positive: Spacious clean house in great location Negative: The staff were very nice until the problems started and they didn't manage to solve the problems. 1 bath is so tiny you can't use it. it is just a few cm between the toilet and the sink, so we had to share a bath. 1 ac, the only one in the room, didn't work and the staff couldn't fix it for the whole stay. All during a heat wave. The lower level had a weird smell, and the walls were in a bad condition due to a flood as the staff told us. It was inconvenient to sleep there. See the attached photos.

Roomy and elegant home in the heart of Athens
Our family of ten recently spent our Thanksgiving holiday in this home in Athens. The pictures on the website didn't prepare us for how elegant and spacious this place really is. The views from the rooftop deck and the small balcony off the bedroom are amazing. Since it was cool outside, we weren't able to use the outdoor patio for dining but could see how perfect it would be. There was plenty of room for us to spread out and the gathering spaces were large enough for all of us when we wanted to spend time together. The only issues we had were the hot water was a bit tricky to manage with all of those people and as Americans, we aren't used to using hand-held showers. These "complaints" are extremely minor and would not stop us from booking this home again. There are a ton of shops and restaurants nearby and many coffee places we visited almost every morning. This property was worth every penny and we would love to have the opportunity to visit again.

A great stay in a beautiful villa on perfect location
We were a group of 11 visiting Athens and the stay in the villa is perfect. The villa is spacy and has everything you need; and more. Everything within walking distance and the hosts are very well reachable by mail and/or phone if you need anything. For closure we had a private dinner in the villa including late check-out and this was amazing. Excellent food, wines and very friendly and kind people. As a comment I would say that the villa has place for 9 adults to sleep, instead of 11 adults. There are 3 double bedrooms, 1single and 2 rooms with small beds big for 1 person- to small for 2. We managed by sleeping on the couch. Nevertheless: great place to stay in a wonderfull city!!

Sept 30,2018 Dear JJ Hospitality, Allow me to provide you my sincere review of your The Whitehouse Mansion in Plaka. Pros: - Easy rental booking, check in & check out. - Awesome Location. - Beautiful Main Home. - Tasteful and Elegant main home Decor. - Great for Large family group. - Easy Transportation reservations. - Pleasant Staff. Cons: - Air Conditioning unit Inoperative in 1 of the 2nd Floor rooms of the main house & in the cottage accommodations. - Bed Bugs in the Cottage Accommodations. Even though your property was beautiful and with a spectacular location, the bed bug situation in the small cottage took away the beauty of the place, due to the fact that 1 of my guests was severely bitten and she required medical attention during our stay and back in the USA due to her painful situation. Thank God it was not an elder or a child, because it was not a pleasant situation for my guests. I know your management team tried to address the the air conditioning issues promptly, but they were never fixed during our stay. I believe a better solution, besides moving my inconvenienced guests to the main home, should have been provided. At least clean blankets, bed sheets, pillows, maybe inflatable mattresses or cots should of have been offered. We tried our best to accommodate them the remaining of our stay sharing beds with them, but that was not what we were expecting to do in our last days in Greece. I highly recommend addressing the Cottage bed bug issues before they spread to the main beautiful house and affect other guests. Best, Amaline Vargas

We really enjoyed our stay at the White House this summer. It was a centrally located in Athens for all of our sightseeing. The home was very clean and worked great for a party of 9 people. We look forward to coming back and staying again.

A great location and a great house for a big family
Dear J and J, The White House was a grate place for our family and we’ll definitely rent it again, But I would like to make some suggestions. You might want to have an option for more amenities for an extra fee. I would personally pay an extra fee to have paper towels, extra toilet paper, bottled water, extra shampoo, bar soap, and laundry detergent. I also like to mention that the floor in the basement was not well cleaned and to keep the five star review the basement bath needs some repairs. I also found stains on a bed cover.
